Intuit Dome – LA Clippers Stadium

Intuit Dome in Inglewood is the future home of the Los Angeles Clippers. The NBA team’s new arena is being developed and is scheduled to open in 2024. Construction costs are pegged at nearly $2 billion.

By the time the massive entertainment complex opens for business, retail sportsbooks in California may become legal, giving Clippers fans a way to back their favorite team and inject more fun into the action.

Prop 26 and Prop 27 were decisively rejected by California voters in the 2022 midterm elections, crushing the prospect of sports betting in the Golden State. But the fight for legalized sports betting is far from over, and another strong push is expected soon.

Whether or not you’re a sports bettor, you’ll find the information in this guide valuable. We’ll walk you through the arena’s features and answer the questions a casual fan or visitor might want to know:

  • Where is the Intuit Dome?
  • Where can I park at Intuit Dome?
  • What’s the arena’s capacity?

About Intuit Dome

The Intuit Dome arena is located on the corner of Century Boulevard and Prairie Avenue in Inglewood, California. It is only 10 miles southwest of the team’s current home, Crypto.com Arena, formerly Staples Center. Near Intuit Dome is another notable sports facility, the iconic Forum, also owned by Steve Balmer.

Several public transportation options are available to get to the venue, including Metro Local 212 from Lennox/Hawthorne and the Metro K Line, which serves Inglewood, Crenshaw District, Westchester, and surrounding neighborhoods.

History and Ownership

The LA Clippers broke ground on Intuit Dome in Sept. 2021. Funding is entirely private and comes from multi-billionaire Steve Balmer, former Microsoft CEO and Clippers owner. With an approximate cost of $2 billion, it is the third-most expensive arena to be built in the United States, behind MetLife Stadium in New Jersey and LA’s SoFi Stadium

The sports complex is expected to open ahead of the 2024-25 NBA season.

Intuit (the company behind TurboTax, QuickBooks, Credit Karma, and Mix) acquired the naming rights to the venue in a $500 million 23-year deal.

Intuit Dome Capacity and Features

Intuit Dome’s capacity is 18,000 spectators, a thousand fewer than what Crypto.com Arena can accommodate for basketball games.

The Dome has been dubbed one of the most eco-friendly sports facilities in the world. The venue will be completely carbon-neutral, sustainable, and naturally ventilated, with electricity coming from solar panels and batteries. As part of the project, a mechanism will be implemented for monitoring greenhouse gas emissions and transportation impacts.

Intuit Dome in Inglewood will be jam-packed with amenities, including a two-sided massive halo scoreboard, backstage bungalows, a 150-room hotel, and a state-of-the-art practice and athletic facility.

Intuit Dome seating charts aren’t yet available, but we’ll update you as soon as they are.

Sports Betting at Intuit Dome

Sports betting at Intuit Dome is in the realm of fantasy right now based on how the Nov. 2022 elections went down. Voters vehemently opposed both retail and online sports betting. Despite massive campaign funding and support from industry heavyweights BetMGM, DraftKings, and FanDuel, Prop 26 failed to implement legal sports betting apps in California.

CA legislators and proponents may take another crack at legalizing sports betting in 2023. Still, the chances of drafting a sports betting framework without a successful ballot measure are slim. A constitutional amendment of that magnitude would require support from voters.

Bets Offered at Intuit Dome

In the future, Intuit Dome may house a sportsbook. It’ll probably look to join forces with a brand of similar prestige, such as Caesars or BetMGM. If that hypothetical scenario were to unfold, here are some bets you could place at the arena while watching a Clippers game:

  • Moneylines
  • Totals (over/under)
  • Point spreads
  • Futures
  • Props
  • Parlays
  • Teasers
  • Pleasers
  • Round robins
  • Live bets

Intuit Dome Partnerships

Intuit Dome isn’t associated with any gambling or sports betting entity. In 2022, the arena’s tenant, the LA Clippers, partnered with Pechanga Resort Casino, a tribally-owned casino.

Intuit Dome Rewards

The arena doesn’t currently have a rewards/loyalty program, nor has it announced plans to implement one.

Intuit Dome Parking

Intuit Dome will have 4,125 parking spots on site. A three-story garage will hold 650 parking spaces reserved for VIPs, premium ticket holders, players, and Clippers personnel, while the West Parking Garage will house most of the remaining parking spaces.

Intuit Dome Accommodations

A 150-room limited-service hotel will be part of the complex. Other nearby accommodation options include LA Adventure Hotel, Hollywood Inn Express LAX, and Holly Crest Hotel.

Intuit Dome Client Services

Customer service is available at several locations inside Intuit Dome. The arena’s website is likely to have support agents available online as well.

Intuit Dome Online Sportsbook

As things stand, there’ll be no mobile sports betting at Intuit Dome. We’ll keep you updated on any developments.
