Fliff Football: Best Parlays for NFL Week 18, CFP National Title Game

Are you among the many sports fans wondering: Is it legal to bet on sports in California?

Well, the answer is complicated. There is no legal real-money sports betting in California. However, there is a promotional sweepstakes option that allows users to still win real money.

Fliff calls itself a social sportsbook. It has gamblers use two kinds of fake digital currency — Fliff Coins and Fliff Cash. Fliff Coins are just for fun. Fliff Cash, however, can be redeemed for real cash prizes, such as cash or gift cards.

So, no, you can’t use a traditional real-money sportsbook like BetMGM California.

But you can still get the same feel of a sportsbook and win some money in the process.

And this is a perfect week to get started on Fliff, with the NFL’s final regular-season games and the College Football Playoff national championship game just around the corner. You can use our Fliff promo code SHARP to get a 100% bonus match up to $100 Fliff Cash when you sign up.

Here are our Fliff football parlay picks for this weekend.

Fliff NFL Week 18 Parlay Picks

Jacksonville Jaguars (-290) vs. Tennessee Titans

After their ugly 2-6 start, the Jaguars have quietly been one of the best teams in the NFL and they’re riding a four-game winning streak into their pivotal regular-season finale against Tennessee.

Here’s the scenario for Jacksonville:

  • Win and it’s in the playoffs as the AFC South champion.
  • Lose, and hope Bills beat Patriots, Jets beat Dolphins, and Browns beat Steelers.

With the Titans riding a six-game losing streak and starting former Lions practice squad QB Josh Dobbs behind center, we’ll confidently take Jacksonville to win and enter the playoffs as the No. 4 seed in the AFC.

Miami Dolphins (+100) vs. New York Jets

Yes, Tua Tagovailoa won’t play.

Yes, Skylar Thompson may have a tough time cracking the Jets’ stout defense.

Also yes: The Jets are beyond dysfunctional on offense and have scored a combined 9 points the past two weeks.

The Dolphins weren’t only good because of Tagovailoa. This is a team more than capable of defeating a floundering New York side in order to clinch a spot in the playoffs. Give us the “underdogs” on Sunday.

Cleveland Browns (+125) at Pittsburgh Steelers

Browns edge rusher Myles Garrett made headlines this week by saying the Browns “will do everything in our power” to keep Pittsburgh from reaching the playoffs.

We think they get it done.

Cleveland’s defense has been fantastic the past three weeks — 3 points allowed vs. the Ravens, 17 points vs. the Saints, and 10 points last week vs. the Commanders. DeShaun Watson is still shaking off the rust from his suspension, but he’s shown flashes through his five starts — during which the Browns have gone 3-2.

And Nick Chubb is Nick Chubb.

Meanwhile, Pittsburgh has clawed its way into the playoff discussion with a three-game winning streak, including a massive 16-13 win in Baltimore last week.

Both teams are better than when they played in Week 3 and the Browns won 29-17.

Give us the Browns one more time to play spoiler.

Seattle Seahawks (-6.5) vs. Los Angeles Rams (-110)

The Rams are an absolute mess.

The Seahawks righted the ship with a 23-6 win over the Jets last Sunday following three straight losses to Carolina, San Francisco, and Kansas City.

Barring their weird 51-14 win over Denver on Christmas, we have no reason to believe the Rams will finish this game within a touchdown of Seattle, which has a spot in the playoffs on the line. Plus, the story is just too good. Nobody expected anything from the Seahawks this year. What a season.

Green Bay Packers (-230) vs. Detroit Lions

But, sorry Seahawks. The Packers are doing what the Packers have so often done the past few years: Get hot at the right time.

This figures to be the game of the week, with Green Bay and Detroit essentially playing a win-and-you’re-in regular-season finale. Give us the team with Aaron Rodgers to come out on top in that situation. The Packers own the strength of record tiebreaker over Seattle, so they would get the seventh NFL Wild Card spot.

5-Leg Parlay Odds: +1557

This five-leg parlay comes with +1557 odds, so you may want to pick and choose legs. If you go with all five, a winning bet of $1 Fliff Cash would get a $16.57 Fliff Cash payout. A winning bet of $10 Fliff Cash would get a $165.70 Fliff Cash payout, and so on.

Fliff CFP National Championship Game Parlay Picks

TCU (+12.5) vs. Georgia (-105)

We’ll take Georgia to win this game, but we’ll also pretty confidently take TCU to cover.

The Horned Frogs are not a fluke. Max Duggan is the quintessential hard-nosed, does-it-all college quarterback. Quentin Johnson is among the best receiver prospects in the 2024 NFL Draft class. Kendre Miller (if healthy) and Emari Demercado are both highly capable running backs. And the TCU defense is as opportunistic as they come, with 22 forced turnovers — tied for 25th-most in college football — contributing to a sparkling +9 turnover margin as a team.

Also, TCU did just beat Michigan in the CFP semifinal. Michigan trounced Ohio State in the last week of the regular season, and Ohio State looked like the better team than Georgia for three quarters.

The transitive property is slippery slope … but it helps us feel better about TCU covering Monday night.

FCS National Championship: North Dakota State (+5) vs. South Dakota State (-110)

There is a Christmas Eve to the Christmas Day of college football.

On Sunday, North Dakota State and South Dakota State face off in the FCS title game. This is a true treat, as this is one of the best rivalries in all of college football, not just the FCS.

NDSU and SDSU are the flagship programs of the Missouri Valley Conference. Games are just about always close between these two. Six of their past seven games have been decided by an average of 6 points, with a lopsided 44-21 Bison victory over SDSU in the 2018 FCS Semifinals serving as an anomaly.

  • 2022: SDSU 23, NDSU 21
  • 2021: SDSU 27, NDSU 19
  • 2020: SDSU 20, NDSU 17
  • 2019: NDSU 23, SDSU 16
  • 2018: NDSU 44, SDSU 21 (FCS Semifinals)
  • 2018: NDSU 21, SDSU 17
  • 2017: SDSU 33, NDSU 21

NDSU is the reigning FCS champion and has won nine of the past 11 national titles dating back to 2011. In 2020, when NDSU wasn’t in the title game, SDSU was, losing to Sam Houston.

But the MVC rivals have never played in the title game, until now.

The Jackrabbits got the better of the Bison during the regular season. We really trust NDSU’s postseason pedigree, though. We’ll be a bit cautious and take NDSU to cover, but it wouldn’t be a shock to see it win.

2-Leg Parlay Odds: +272

This two-leg parlay comes with +272 odds. A winning bet of $1 Fliff Cash would get a $2.72 Fliff Cash payout. A winning bet of $10 Fliff Cash would get a $27.20 Fliff Cash payout, and so on.

Combined 7-Leg Parlay Odds: +6079

This combined seven-leg parlay comes with +6079 odds. A winning bet of $1 Fliff Cash would get a $60.79 Fliff Cash payout. A winning bet of $10 Fliff Cash would get a $607.90 Fliff Cash payout, and so on.
