If you’re looking for a fully legal way to bet on sports in California, yes, there is a way.
It’s not a real-money sportsbook, but Fliff is a social sportsbook that allows bettors to wager with fake digital currency — Fliff Cash — that can later be redeemed for real cash prizes.
Fliff has the feel of a traditional sportsbook without actually being one. So it’s 100% legal — and popular — in California.

After that, come back here for advice on parlays for NFL Week 15 and the first slate of college bowl games this weekend.
Fliff NFL Week 15 Parlay Picks
Justin Fields Under 71.5 Rushing Yards vs. Philadelphia Eagles (-115)
Most Bears fans out there will tell you this is the most they’ve enjoyed watching their team in years, even though they’re 3-10.
Why?
Because Justin Fields finally has freedom in the offense. He’s playing like the dual-threat superstar he was at Ohio State, averaging 158 passing yards and 75.4 rushing yards per game. And he’s erupted for 147 and 178 rushing yards in two of his past four games, which is likely why his Over/Under for rushing yards this Sunday is so high.
Let’s temper those expectations a bit against an Eagles defense that is by no means dominant, but quite good. Chances are Chicago will be playing from behind, too, causing Fields to use his arm a bit more than his legs.

Josh Allen Under 48.5 Rushing Yards vs. Miami Dolphins (-120)
This is a tough one. Josh Allen has eclipsed 48.5 rushing yards in six of Buffalo’s 13 games this year, and a lot of those performances came in close games — and this could be a close game.
Still, Miami boasts a top-10 rush defense.
And, in the Bills’ 21-19 loss to the Dolphins on Sept. 25, Allen passed for 400 yards and rushed for 47 yards.
Let’s take the under in a nail-biter.
Detroit Lions (-110) at New York Jets
The Lions are playing like a playoff team right now (as least their buzzsaw offense is) and the Jets have lost three of their past four games after an eye-opening 6-3 start.
Detroit’s putrid defense won’t do a thing to stop Mike White from connecting with Garrett Wilson, and you should definitely start Wilson in fantasy football if you’re got him.
We’ll go with the Lions’ offense to do enough against a stout New York defense, though, to get the job done.
Minnesota Vikings (-4.5) vs. Indianapolis Colts (+100)
Frankly, it’s a bit surprising Minnesota isn’t favored by more against a Colts team that’s lost three in a row and just gave up 54 to Dallas. A double frankly, it’s surprising to see Minnesota have positive odds to cover.
So, yeah, we’re jumping all over this.

Fliff College Bowl Game Parlay Picks
Cure Bowl: Troy (-1.5) vs. UTSA (-120)
The state of Alabama had some excellent college football this fall.
- Alabama went 10-2 and will play in the Cotton Bowl
- Jacksonville State went 9-2
- Samford went 11-2 and made the FCS Playoffs
- South Alabama went 10-2 and will play in the New Orleans Bowl
And then there’s Troy, which went 11-2, won the Sun Belt, and finished at No. 24 in the CFP Top 25. Right behind the Trojans, at No. 25, is UTSA. So the Cure Bowl (Dec. 16) promises to be an excellent option among the first round of college bowl games.
We like Troy to cover, though. Its 45-26 beatdown against a good Coastal Carolina team in the Sun Belt title game has us feeling pretty good about the Trojans covering against the Roadrunners.

Las Vegas Bowl: Florida (+10) vs. Oregon State (-110)
Yes, Florida quarterback Anthony Richardson is opting out of the Las Vegas Bowl (Dec. 17) to prepare for the NFL Draft.
Yes, Oregon State ended its season with an impressive 38-34 win over Oregon.
Still, the SEC is on a different level than the Pac-12. Even after a 6-6 regular season, the Gators will have enough playmakers on te defensive side of the ball to stay close to the Beavers from whistle to whistle. This just feels like one of those weird, early bowl games where a middling SEC team proves its conference’s strength by beating a top Pac-12 team.
Now, do we think Florida will win? Not necessarily. Cover? You bet.
New Mexico Bowl: SMU vs. BYU (Over 64)
Do you like points? Awesome. So do we.
Expect lots of them to be scored in the New Mexico Bowl (Dec. 17).
SMU enters as the No. 12 overall offense in the country. BYU is No. 33.
Meanwhile, SMU’s defense ranks 118th out of 131 teams, and BYU’s ranks 93rd.
This is a delicious recipe for touchdown after touchdown after touchdown at University Stadium in Albuquerque, New Mexico. On Nov. 5, SMU beat Houston 77-63. That’s 140 total points. The week prior, the Mustangs beat Tulsa 45-34. On Nov. 17, they lost 59-24 to Tulsa.
Five times this season, BYU has either scored or allowed 40 or more points.
FCS Semifinals: North Dakota State (-350) vs. Incarnate Word
Yeah, we know this isn’t a bowl game.
But we weren’t thrilled with the remaining options, and we wanted to pad this parlay with a comfortable fourth leg.
So we’ll take FCS juggernaut North Dakota State, which has trounced Montana and Samford by a combined score of 76-35 so far in the FCS Playoffs, to beat Incarnate Word in the FCS Semifinals.
