Updated: Jan 6, 2024

Los Angeles Chargers Super Bowl odds are being offered at sportsbooks including DraftKings California and FanDuel California.

DraftKings was dealing the Chargers at +2200 as of this writing. That means LA has an implied probability of 4.35% to win Super Bowl 57.

The Chargers are led by QB Justin Herbert, who leads the NFL in passing yards through Week 4. Herbert’s primary targets are back in WRs Keenan Allen and Mike Williams. RB Austin Ekeler is another dynamic option out of the backfield.

LA suffered a disastrous 38-10 loss at home against Jacksonville in Week 3. Herbert played despite having fractured rib cartilage. The Chargers bounced back with a 34-24 win at Houston in Week 4.

The Chargers are tied for second place in the AFC West with a record of 2-2. Their Super Bowl odds lengthened from +1300 to +2200 at DraftKings over the past two weeks.

Chargers Look to Make Playoffs for First Time Since 2018

RB Austin Ekeler had a breakout game against the Texans in Week 4. He entered the contest with just 80 yards rushing and no touchdowns. Houston’s defense proved to be the antidote as Ekeler rushed for 60 yards and two TDs. He also caught six passes and added a receiving TD.

An effective running game could be the catalyst for LA’s potential playoff run. The Chargers were being offered at -140 to make the NFL Playoffs at DraftKings as of this writing. LA hasn’t crashed the postseason party since the 2018 season, but we’re bullish on that bet.

Despite playing through his injury, Herbert threw for 340 yards against Houston and led the Chargers to a season-best 34 points. Herbert led the NFL in passing yards (1,250) through Week 4.

LA travels to Cleveland in Week 5. The Chargers have won four of their last five games against the Browns including last year’s wild 47-42 victory. Herbert threw for a season-best 398 yards and accounted for five TDs. Ekeler amassed 118 total yards and three touchdowns. The Chargers also thrived through the air, as Mike Williams hauled in 165 yards and two touchdowns. Keenan Allen added six catches for 75 yards.

If the Chargers can continue to succeed on the ground and through the air, we like their chances to go over 9.5 wins on the season. DraftKings offered LA at -125 to surpass that number as of this writing.

Chargers are Solid on Both Sides of the Ball

The Chargers have one of the best offensive lines in the NFL. They bolstered the o-line in the offseason by drafting guard Zion Johnson. The Boston College product is starting at right guard as a rookie.

Another big offseason move came with the acquisition of outside linebacker Khalil Mack from the Chicago Bears. The six-time Pro Bowler was the NFL’s Defensive Player of the Year in 2016. Mack was a beast in his debut as a Charger with three sacks and a team-high six tackles against the Raiders.

J.C. Jackson spearheads LA’s secondary after the heralded CB came to the Chargers from New England. Jackson was ranked as the fifth-best cornerback in the NFL by ESPN.

LA Chargers Super Bowl Betting Analysis

The Chargers have all the makings of a top contender this season. They need to get WR Keenan Allen back on the field. Allen injured his hamstring in the season opener and was on the sidelines through Week 4.

Can LA unseat the Chiefs as the AFC West’s champion? It might be a stretch to bet on LA to win Super Bowl 57, but we love the wager on the Bolts to make the playoffs.

Who Offers the Best NFL Futures Odds?

No single sportsbook can boast of having the best odds for every bet. The bottom line is it’s always prudent to compare odds at different sportsbooks before making your bet.

With futures especially, they can fluctuate much more than spread or total odds. While the Bills are the consensus betting favorite to win Super Bowl 57, the odds can differ dramatically as you move down the oddsboard.

Pick your favorite team and research their futures odds at a handful of different California sportsbooks. The Carolina Panthers, for example, were offered at +10000 odds at FanDuel but they could be had at +13000 at DraftKings before the season started. The same $100 wager on Carolina will pay out $300 more at DraftKings. You’re not making that bet at FanDuel unless you want to give up some serious value in the process.

Finding the best odds for your bets is a key to long-term success and profitability as a sports bettor.  Remember, it always pays to shop around. Our advice is to register accounts with multiple sportsbooks, so you’ll always have the ability to compare odds and bet on the best number for your plays. And when California launches sports betting, it’ll help you take advantage of all California sports betting promos, too. You’ll thank us for that advice in the long run.
