Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, is a football stadium that opened in 2014. Its primary tenants are the NFL’s San Francisco 49ers, while it was also home to the annual San Francisco Bowl (NCAA) and numerous other popular events over the years (including WrestleMania 31 in 2015, which had the stadium’s record attendance of 76,976).

Levi’s Stadium is located in Santa Clara, a city near San Jose in the San Francisco Bay Area. It’s the home ground of the San Francisco 49ers while it was also the site of the Pac-12 Football Championship Game and the San Francisco Bowl for several years.

Levi’s Stadium’s capacity is 68,500, although it can be extended during special events, which is why the record attendance was 76,976 during WrestleMania 31.

History and Ownership

The construction broke ground in April 2012 and was completed in July 2014, with the costs estimated at $1.3 billion. Famous jeans company Levi Strauss & Co. purchased the naming rights for the stadium in 2013, giving the venue a witty nickname: the Field of Jeans.

Ever since it was finished in 2014, Levi’s Stadium was the home field of the San Francisco 49ers, who previously played at Candlestick Park. It was also the stadium chosen for Super Bowl 50 where the Denver Broncos defeated the Carolina Panthers.

Levi’s Stadium is full of food and beverage options for fans in every section, including Super Duper Burgers, Chicken Guy, Hula Truck, Tenders & Fries, Sandi’s, Puesto, Tostitos, and more.
